The intermediate meeting of the WELCOME project took place on 2 and 3 April 2018 in Tirana (Albania) at the Art Hotel Sarajevo.

The Meeting was organized by NCA (National Coastal Agency) with the support of the CoNISMa Lead Partner (National Interuniversity Consortium for marine sciences) within the WELCOME project "WatEr LandsCapes sustainability through the reuse of Marine littEr", Interreg IPA CBC Italia -Albania - Monitoring of Montenegro 2014/2020.

The first day was mainly dedicated to the stakeholders of the host country (regional and national public authorities, owners of beach resorts, fishing cooperatives, diving centers, managers of marinas, groups of volunteers and environmental organizations). The project was presented to the public and the main activities carried out by the partners up until now have been introduced. A round table was then held and a discussion on the main issues related to Marine Litter.

The second day was dedicated exclusively to the discussion of the results achieved so far, to the next activities to be carried out and to the meeting of the Steering Committee that evaluated the state of the art and any changes to be made to the project.
